BIG NEWS - Apple Announces the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Media Event, September 9, 2014 @ 1pm Eastern 🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎

🍎 As you may know we Upgraded to iPhone 6 Plus. Yes, it IS really worth it! Yes, we Upgraded with AT&T’s NEXT installment plan. Yes, we stood on a long line among thousands of other folks, outside Apple’s Store at the Boca Raton Town Center Mall, from 2:15am Friday Morning with all the other Crazed Apple fans, and a good number of Android users that were delighted that the iPhone 6 Plus has a 5.5″ screen.

🍎 An attractive feature of AT&T’s NEXT installment arrangement is, when upgrading I paid the sales tax on the iPhone 6 Plus based on the $849 price, the 20 installments are $42.45/month, interest free; after 12 months, I may update to the “Next” iPhone 6S Plus (or whatever Apple names it), then this year’s agreement is cancelled, I return the iPhone 6 Plus in good condition, then I receive the New iPhone 6S Plus, and another NEXT 20 payment installment arrangements is entered into. If I choose not to upgrade 12 months from now, with 8 monthly payments remaining, for a total of 20 installments paid, thereafter the iPhone 6 Plus is owned free and clear.

🍎 The benefit of the AT&T’s NEXT Installment Plan, instead of paying $299, $399, or $499 for the iPhone 6 Plus (depending on Storage chosen, 16GB, 64GB, or 128GB) and committing to a 2 year contract, NEXT provides that I pay only the $51 Florida sales tax, then the monthly installment of $42.45 starts next month, and is paid for 12 or 20 months depending on whether I decide to Upgrade 12 months from now or not. In 12 months I would have paid $509.40 to ATT&T included in the monthly phone bill. If I choose to upgrade, I do not have to worry about how to get the best deal on my 12 months old iPhone. However, if I don’t want to upgrade a year from now, I’d continue to pay 8 more installments, and retain this amazing iPhone 6 Plus.

🍎 Currently, I have two extra iPhone 5 smartphones that I have a http://www.Gazelle.com commitments for a combined $550. So in the next day or so, I will be shipping them to Gazelle and if history repeats itself, Gazelle will credit my PayPal account with $550 in 7 days. I have sold 10 iPhones and iPads to Gazelle since 2010 with no surprises.

🍎 AppleCare+: Don’t forget to get Apple care on your iPhone 6, it costs $99 for a two year Warranty, Support and Accident coverage. If your iPhone is Lost or Stolen, AppleCare+ does not cover these events. It has a deductible of $79 for a replacement, with a limit of 2 occurrences. Several Carriers provide monthly “protection” which is billed on your Cellular Bill at $8.00/month, which represents $96/year, and they each have deductibles also with the iPhone is replaced. For iPads, the deductible is $50/occurrence.

🍎 Samsung Galaxy users on the long line out side the Apple store were interviewed; they said they picked Android 2 years ago, due to its larger display. Some said they liked the SD card slot; However, since Apple has improved their iCloud back up scheme to include iDrive, files may be now moved to Your secure iDrive instead of copying files onto an insecure SD card; file copies and file transfers are also available using the popular automated DropBox App. This makes the SD card-slot obsolete, this being the reason Apple never bothered with SD card slots for its iPhone or iPad products.
