ISAGENIX™ - Soup : Japanese Shirataki Miracle Noodle - Add some texture to the broth.

Japanese women have been using shirataki noodles for weight loss for years. If you go to Japan and ask the women about shirataki, or as it is sometimes know as konnyaku the first things you will hear, is how it is good to eat, to keep slim. Shirataki and weight loss go hand in hand. For the American however not used to eating them one must know how to use the shirataki Miracle Noodle in a sensible plan for weight loss. Although a full treatment of this topic is beyond the scope of this short course. There are many principles that can be described to get a better understanding of shirataki and weight loss. Of course since we are employing the ISAGENIX product regimen, the nutrition program is established, and the use of these Noodles are as a supplement to their IsaLean Chicken and Tomato Soup meal-replacement, or for use in one of your normally balaced meals during the week.

 1. The Shirataki Miracle Noodle is made of a healthly soluble fiber so that when you eat it it will expand slightly in your stomach and provide a sense of fullness. Adding shirataki to the beginning of a meal or main part of the meal and eating slowly will provide a feeling of fullness and satisfaction.

 2. The Shirataki Miracle Noodle has no calories so while the noodles are in your digestive tract they are absorbing cholesterol and slowing down the absorption of gluose so your blood sugar will even out and you won't have spikes of energy and all the while not contributing to the calories.

 3. My suggestion, assuming you get enough nutrients with your ISAGENIX meals of the day, is to substitute the carbs at lunch with the miracle noodle drastically reducing the calories and providing a sense of fullness throughout the afternoon. The images show the use of these Miracle Noodles added to the IsaLean Soups, giving a hearty mix, adding some variety to just sipping the broth... you could add some steamed broccoli and cauliflower pieces, for some added variety, adding little change to the meal-replacement calorie content. Just by substituting the carbs at lunch with Miracle Noodles you will see weight loss and an increase in energy.

To prepare the noodles for eating, open the sealed package and pour all of its contents into a small, 4 cup stainless colander having cold water thoroughly rinsing the noodles for 3 to 4 minutes; simultaneously, place a 8 cup sauce pot filled with 6 cups of water, on the cook-top on High Heat; when the water is boiling, pour the thoroughly rinced noodles into the rapidly boiling water. After ONE minute, remove the cooked noodles from the Heat, and pour into the 4 cup stainless colander again, and rinse with cold water, to stop any further cooking; stop rincing, drain, and move the colander up and down briskly to remove excess water; then pat dry with several dry paper-towels. The noodles are now ready to combine in Soups or Sauces of your choice.

For use with Isagenix IsaLean Chicken and Tomato Soups, cut the cooked noodles with sharp scissors, into small 1" pieces; Once you have mixed the IsaLean Soup Packet thoroghly with 8 to 9 ounces of 145ºF Hot Quality Water, then add the Miracle Noodles and stir to mix thoroughly. The soup and noodles are ready to eat.

EVERY diet needs to have some probiotic foods in it. Probiotic foods are live foods, like yogurt that have active cultures. Did you know that almost every traditional diet has some "live" foods in it. The Russians have a favorite, Kefir. For some reason Kefir just makes you feel good when you drink it and now with flavors like pomegranate or raspberry it is great. It is a milk based product and tastes like yogurt but is loaded with beneficial bacteria. A favorite brand is lifeway. The Germans have Sauerkraut which was originally fermented cabbage that had beneficial lactobacilli. The Koreans have Kimchi which is also fermented cabbage. The Japanese have several, one of which is natto, which is a probiotic powerhouse. It is fermented soybeans. The point is that every healthy diet should include a live food to balance the beneficial bacteria of the digestive system.

So what is a PREbiotic? Miracle Noodles act as a prebiotic. This means that by slowing down digestion, it allows for the multiplication of the beneficial bacteria you eat. Are you starting to see why they call the Miracle Noodles?

 • Here is how to "jazz up" a very nutritious but boring soup... We cooked up some Fettichini Miracle Noodles, cut them into 12mm lengths (1/2") and dry "stir-fried" (meaning no oil used) them for 2 minutes, very low heat, like 250F, using the residual heat remaining on the electric cook-top, when we boiled/cooked one 7oz package of Miracle Noodles. Then we chopped up 1/2 cup of mixed vegetables and steamed it until tender but firm...

Therefore when the ISAGENIX Soup is thoroughly mixed in 10 ounces of Hot water, 145F, add the cooked Miracle Noodles and Vegetables, for a hearty and healthy "ISAGENIX Meal Replacement". This combination computes to 300 Calories, well worth the 60 Calorie premium for the hearty soup.
