BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University’s men’s soccer team kept its hopes of a Sunshine State Conference Tournament title alive when Jean Alexandre scored the game-winning goal in a tight 4-2 shootout victory over Nova Southeastern. The two teams played 110 minutes of scoreless ball but the Fighting Knights advance to play the University of Tampa in the SSC Finals on Sunday at 1 p.m. Lynn moves to 15-1-1 overall while the Sharks end their season 12-5-2.
Competition for the 2007 SSC Tournament title begins on Sunday, November 4, at 1 p.m. when Lynn University hosts University of Tampa.
Tampa returns to the pitch on Sunday in the conference final against former top- ranked Lynn, who lost their only match of the season to the Spartans on Sept. 29. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 pm. The match can be followed via the live stats link at tampaspartans.com.
